The Final Game
Man, what a messy, strange, kinda sloppy, rough, and a bit mean of a game! The ref wasn't very good and everyone was getting a bit tense! Too bad the other team scored with only about 5 second left making them win 5 to 4. Seth got two goals, Zack got one, and we aren't sure how the first goal was scored, it seemed to be scored by the other team! It was sad to loose the final game, but we ended fall season 5 and 5, which we are all happy with since we are playing up an age division. I can't believe the growth and progress the boys all made and it was all because a great coach! Travis was simply amazing and I know all the parents couldn't have asked for anything more! We are also so grateful to have Dave there to help on game days! These two guys are the best! Nice we can rest up and get ready for Spring. I know Zack will miss playing and all his friends on the team!

Almost too much of a good thing!
Tonight's game was fun, for us! We came out strong and played hard all game. Too bad we were playing against another HC Storm team. We were amazing and pretty much "owned" them, according to Zack! I have the final score as us 12 and them nothing! I know that Travis was feeling bad and was making adjustments as if not to run the score up. However it really just wasn't working! The final break down went like this:
Adam - 1
Seth - 4
Nick - 1
Ian - 2
Zack - 3
and Connor got his first goal!
What a game! Wow, I am going to miss this when our last game is over Saturday!

The one that got away!
Last Tuesday's game was the one that got away! We struggled the first half and they scored 3 on us. But after a rest and a pep talk the boys came out strong and got a few goals. However, it just wasn't enough. They ended up winning 4 to 3. But Zack played goalie great and Seth got 2 goals and Adam scored one. Way to fight hard boys!

Nice Win!
It was so nice to be back on our own home field and not having to travel anywhere far! I had prior commitments to go to a softball tournament so I didn't make it to the game. It sounds like I missed out! Travis said we had great spacing and passing! Here is what I know and would love to have pictures sent to me to add to this post. If any of my info is wrong let me know that too!
Final score: us 7 Them 2
Zack 2 goals
Adam 2 goals
Nik 1 goal
Seth 1 goal
Ian 1 goal
Awesome job boys!!

Hard Fight
Thursday night's game was a tough one! Our boys played great against a tough team. The ref's seemed a little slow and not sure of themselves, which didn't help our boys. The final score was us 1 (thanks to Zack jumping over the goalie and scoring) them 3. It was a fun game to watch and a good even match up of teams.

This week our spotlights are Connor and Hiatt (sorry if I spelled them wrong!) Mom's leave a little comment and I will add it to the post. These are the final two spotlights I believe! But honestly if I have over looked someone PLEASE let me know. I have so much going on in life that I very well could have missed someone!

Victory in other ways
This afternoon's game may not go down as a win, however the boys played their very best against the UC Thunder and they left everything they had out there on the field. It was a great game and they were awesome! The final score was us 2, thanks to Seth and Adam, and them 4. Darn it, too bad:( I wasn't able to get many pictures because I was either too busy watching this exciting game or too busy chasing my baby all over the place, sorry about that. Here is what I did get.

Victory cheer for us for playing so well, and I guess for the other team since they won and all :)

I grabbed Hiatt (I hope that's who that is) for our spotlight this time, so leave a little comment about him and I will add it in.

What a Battle!
Tonight's game, against the Salem Shooters, was a hard fight, but the boys did it!! The boys got the win even though the other team was much bigger, much more physical, and a lot more aggressive (mean). The score was 2-1 with our scorers being Seth and Nik!! The boys seemed a bit slow in the first half and almost intimidated by the bigger boys on the other team. However, our wonderful coaches gave them a great pep talk and advice at the half and they came out wanting to win!

I love this picture with both boys in their casts still playing with all their heart!

Victory Cheer!

This games spotlight is on Adam and Ian. Mom's leave a little comment telling about them and I will add it in! Thanks
Adam LOVES all sports!! He loves going to BYU games or watching any game on TV. He also likes to read and loves going to school. He is in second grade at mapleton elementary. His favorite food is any kind of junk food! He also likes to ski and is excited for winter to come again

Ian loves all sports as well; however he would much rather be playing than watching them. It seems as though he has either a basketball, football, or soccer ball, in his hands most of the time. Ian is in 2nd grade at Art City Elementary in Springville. His favorite foods are ribs and potatoes and gravy.

HC Storm VS. Barcelona
So I guess this game is supposed to be recorded as a tie since the referees didn't show and both coaches agreed to a tie. However, the teams still played and eventually a ref came. But it is still being contested because they logged it as win 6-2 (thank you Seth and Matthew!). So we will wait for official word. It was a hard game because the field was HUGE!

The boys were getting so exhausted trying to run up and down it. The goals were all very BIG making it hard to defend! I believe this team was a real U9 team based on their size. When Nik is saying how tall they are that tells you something!

This weeks spotlights are Zack and Matthew
Zack loves being outdoors! He loves soccer and baseball is a close second. He is #2 and plays goalie the second half. His favorite food is ribs and he goes to school at Brookside.

Matthew (Mom email me or leave a comment and I will add a few things about Matthew)

What A Game!
HC Storm VS. Dragons J Young
Final score; Storm 7 and Dragons 3
Whooaa Hooo! This was a great game. It was close the whole first half and the beginning of the second period. But then our boys came out strong and fighting hard! The weather the perfect and the fans were cheering! The leading scorer was Seth (again) with 3 goals. He was helped out by Nik, 2 goals and Zack and Adam each had one. Here a a few pictures of tonights game. Mind you I am NOT a photographer and do not have the best camera, but it does the job!

The cheer after the win!

I wanted to do a little snapshot of each of the boys to help us all get to know them a bit. However, I don't know them so I am hoping the parents will add a little comment telling us about your son. Some ideas might be when their birthday is, what school they go to, their favorite thing about soccer, their favorite food, other hobbies/sports they enjoy and so forth.
Thanks!
Seth

Nik
Nik LOVES soccer & so happy to be on this team. He goes to Sierra Bonita & love to eat pizza 24/7!
Final score; Storm 7 and Dragons 3

Game 1 VS. Utah FC
Game one was a great success! We scored 6 goals (Zack says 7, so correct me if I am wrong) and we held them to 2 goals, which they got in the final minutes! Way to go, Boys! It was a HOT game and the boys stuck with it and played great! Thanks Travis and Dave for excellent coaching and all the time you have put into practices. It really is paying off! Here are a few pictures from this game.
